Floating Shadow wins BNFF Best Feature Award

Our Chinese film "The Floating Shadow" won the Best Feature Award at the Buffalo Niagara film festival 2011.

The film is written and directed by Jia Dongshuo and jointly produced by Tianjin Film Studio and CCTV Movie Channel.

It's a psychological drama about an incarcerated young woman, with scenes shifting back and forth between past and present, dream and reality.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Tianjin Film Studio before we started working together. I co-wrote the score of this intense drama, which touches subjects so far not much publicly discussed in China, together with Andrew Raiher.
