Soundtrack releases...

Great to hear the soundtrack will be released - I've been following you since Equilibrium, so having endured the immense frustration of that soundtrack never seeing the light of day with an official release, you can imagine my dismay after watching Solomon Kane that I couldn't purchase the official soundtrack immediately… Now I'm really glad you've confirmed it will be released.

Have to say, Klaus, that your finest moment (in my opinion) was "Rescue Dawn" - less like Zimmer, more like Vangelis - for me it's a very rare feeling which no-one else is really capturing these days. But I really like what you've done with Solomon Kane (mixing "Last Samurai" and "The Dark Knight" with your own twist all in one), a very solid, heroic soundtrack which I found greatly inspirational and it perfectly fits James Purefoy's immense depiction of Kane - and true, I think, to the spirit of Robert E. Howard.

As with Equilibrium and Rescue Dawn, you hit the right note - the perfect feeling - for Solomon Kane.

Congratulations

Great job Klaus! In Cricifixion, the mistery athmosphere with the brass band it’s amazing. the strings are a great support to keep the expectation. the death and fear surround this sounds. excellent!

Felipe.

Great Job!

Mr. Badelt, I watched Solomon Kane at the Toronto Film Festival and thought the movie and score were great. Your score complimented the film very well and stuck with me after watching the film. I am listening to it right now as I type this and simply love it.

Also a big shout out to your Equilibrium score, very well done! Wishing you all the best and waiting anxiously for the complete score for Solomon Kane to be released.

Solomon Kane score

Hello Klaus

I saw Solomon Kane yesterday and as much as I enjoyed the movie the real highlight was the wonderful score. It's been a while since any score has had such an effect to make me rush home and buy it. I was disappointed that it is not yet available but over the moon to be able to hear it here on your website. I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one so hurry up and get it released. Keep up the good work.

Amazing

Klaus, after listening to so many of your scores from the big scores like Pirates to the little scores like le petit nicola I was inspired to change my music writing style 180 degrees from Hip Hop to film scores. This score for Solomon Kane is another huge inspiration to push me further. Your story on how you ended up working with Hans Zimmer made me laugh and only wish to stumble upon your studio in the same way one day!

All the best
